As stated in our bylaws:
"The Membership and Alumni Vice President shall oversee the maintenance of all membership and alumni records; keep an accurate record of disciplinary action, send birthday cards to brothers in the month of their birthday and in the fall send belated birthday cards to brothers who had summer birthdays, serve as chair of the Membership committee; delegate responsibilities to committee members as necessary; hold at least one Membership committee meeting per month; attend all executive committee and chapter meetings or send a representative; keep accurate membership records; be responsible for bringing to the first general meeting of the semester the names of all members who have been placed on probation and those subject to suspension. Mail out a letter informing a bother that they have been placed on probation and the reason why, at midpoint of the semester email individuals who under completing half of their requirements. Plan and run a Founder’s Day the fall semester of odd numbered years. Preside over chapter and executive committee meetings in the absence of the President and Service Vice Presidents; preside over probationary hearings; plan and carry out a retention program for the chapter; plan and carry out an Alumni program for the chapter; assign members to committees, and provide committee chairpersons with a list of committee members' names; and such other duties applicable to the office as prescribed by the executive committee."
