As stated in our bylaws:
"The Pledge Educator shall coordinate the preparations for and execution of all activities related to recruitment and pledgeship; encourage new membership with the Rush Chair. The Pledge Educator will serve as chair of the Pledge committee; delegate responsibilities to committee members as necessary; hold at least one Pledge committee meeting per month; attend all executive committee, pledge, and chapter meetings or send a representative; keep accurate records of pledges requirements; keep accurate records of pledge parent requirements. Mid point through the pledge period and at the Executive Committee meeting prior to the date pledge voting would potentially take place determine with Executive Committee members if the pledges have met their requirements and send out a personal email informing the pledge of their personal status; plan and coordinate the pledge ceremony and the initiation ceremony with the assistance of the Sergeant-At-Arms; and such other duties applicable to the office as prescribed by the executive committee."
